Meet Our Director, Sheila Lee
Hello, my name Sheila Lee! I was born and raised in Spartanburg. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 26 years. We have two sons and a custodial niece (daughter). We have traveled and lived in numerous countries and states due to my husband’s military career in the U.S. Army for 23 years.
Education has always been my passion! I realized at an early age that working with children is what I wanted to do with my future. I have been in child care for 19 years. I was awarded a Child Development Associate in January 2008 from the Council for Professional Recognition located in Washington DC. I am currently enrolled at Spartanburg Community College pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education. I started working for The Sunshine House in 2008 as a toddler and two-year-old teacher. After a short break, I returned to The Sunshine House in 2016 as a Director-In-Training, and was blessed with the opportunity to be the Director of this facility.
I enjoy spending time with my family, going on dates with my husband, shopping, traveling, and crocheting. Over the years, my love for children has grown. I enjoy watching children grow and develop over time. It is rewarding to know I help mold their young minds during the most precious years of their development.
